Hatchery Kits!

Big day today delivering 5 BVF Hatchery Kits to a Durham elementary school. Today was actually the brooder delivery, as we delivered incubators a few weeks ago.

BVF began renting hatchery kits to local families in 2018 and expanded to schools in 2025! As far as we know, we are the only local farm that offers these kits, which allow families, groups and schools to hatch baby chicks or ducklings, keep the cuties for a week or two, and send them to live out their happy days on our 34-acre free range paradise!

We are so thrilled with our new custom BVF brooders! Solid as a rock and with everything needed to keep those chickies (or duckies) happy for a week or two.
