Ages 3-5
Join us for a swashbuckling week of sea-worthy adventure aboard the Jack Sparrow, Belle Vie's 1925 wooden boat stationed at the Belle Vie forest playground! What could be more thrilling than setting sail on a magical journey across the ocean in search of treasure, adventure and, of course, Blackbeard the Pirate! Campers will hear stories about all kinds of pirates and adventurers: Gulliver, Gawain, Peter Pan and more! They will dress for adventure, eat like a pirate, create their own pirate name, design a treasure box and seek their treasure using pirate treasure maps.
This week will include pirate meals and snacks, costuming, crafts, games, competitions and more!
Ages 6-11
Campers will begin their adventurous week designing and creating a pirate flag for the Jack Sparrow! Getting ready to set sail requires lots of preparation including costume design, gathering of food stuff, meal prepping and making lots of grog (kid-friendly!) for those hot summer days at sea. It might happen that, in the midst of all of the busy prepping, that a treasure map is found and our pirate campers must set off for their adventure. There is no time to waste - the treasure must be found by the week's end or stay lost forever!
Meals will include a Jolly Roger meal and snacks include frozen pineapple squares - an excellent way to stave of the scurvy! Campers will hear stories about all kinds of pirates and adventurers: Gulliver, Gawain, Peter Pan and more! They will dress for adventure, eat like a pirate, create their own pirate name, design a treasure box and seek their treasure using pirate treasure maps. They will create a pirate story skit to act out for the wee pirates (3-5 yo campers), complete with pirate tattoos, costumes and eye-patches (of course!).
